Mung Bean Cake have been around since the Ayutthaya period. In French archives, the name “Baan Khanom Kuan” is recorded as the neighborhood that used to be a Portuguese camp area. The area is assumed to be the sub-district that made Mung Bean Cake for a long time until it is known for the dessert by word of mouth.
