Roti or chapati is found in southern India. It was an era in India where the people mainly engaged in agriculture by growing rice and crops that can be dried. But still there was not much variety of crops. So the villagers began to grow rice straw and ground grains together. Then, mixing them with water. Chapati was born from the villagers mixing wheat, flour and many ingredients together.
